Footprints

Do you remember
when we used to
play by the beach
and leave footprints
for each other to follow
and the days we used to plan our future
We grew up in such sweet innocence
stong then
now lost
Do you remember those footprints?

Footprints that have long since
faded out of the earth
but are still in my heart
why can't we be
like we used to
with the foot prints
fresh in the earth
and fresh in our hearts?
