poems about life and love and me
Time is my crime

Time can spin forever in circles,
Never ending,
Just round and round,
Dizzy and falling to the ground,
Breathing and crying on the floor,
Just overwhelmed by the passing of the hours,
The days and the years that spin passed in a whirl of madness,
Chaos is my mind,
Confused is my heart,
Pushing and pressuring me in a direction I don’t like,
Want to dance free,
Away from the clutches of time,
Opinions change me and force me to be,
To just live and breathe and be,
Be something I never wanted to be,
Screaming to be free,
Pushing against the tide of an ocean,
This raging emotion,
This thunder in my head,
And a change in my heart,
To see the world differently,
Go back to the start,
Free myself and my heart,
Dance in the sunshine of a rainy day,
Wishing that one day everything would be okay,
Hearts and them all will fall into place,
I’ll finally be able to stand tall,
To be able to stand at all,
Triumph and victory in hearing my own voice,
Seeking a miracle that lurks in the shadows of disappointed dreams,
This reality,
This cage,
These restrictions of my dreams,
Are dragging me down,
Drowning in tears and a suffocating grasp,
The world is hard and cold and mean,
Vanquishing my dreams,
The world is exactly as it seems,
I can hear the rain lashing on the window pane,
Somebody is calling my name,
Whispering a long forgotten tale,
Of freedom,
To be free of the holds of time,
Societies victim,
Tell me, what is my crime?
To wish to be different,
To wish to own a life that is mine,
To watch the ones that broke away free,
And long to be just like them,
One day they will long to be like me,
I will be free,
Tell me how can they justify the madness?
How can they hurt me like this,
Deny me something I would die rather than to miss?
How can they?
So unjustified,
So wrong,
Soul cries,
It bleeds and it dies,
In a sunset of an orange light,
Bathing this bitter world in its natural light,
So inhuman are these people we live amongst,
Nobody could understand,
When I stray and lose my way,
There is no one to hold my hand,
Because of what I think,
Because of who I am,
My crime, My sentence and my punishment,
To be hurt and hated because of who I am,
Time may steal my youth,
Dreams may steal my grip on reality,
People may steal my dreams,
They may rip me at the seams,
They may steal all the hope and all the good,
They may steal my sunset and my burning light,
They may steal it all,
But you can never steal my soul,
My whole,
What and who I am,
Shall always be,
Deep within, deep inside of me,

There is a world,
A world of delusion and dreams,
A world where nothing is as it seems,
A whisper on a wind,
Nothing more and nothing less,
Nothing more than a tale,
Weaving its’ precious way into existence,
Fighting to be true,
A world that was born and lives and does grow,
A world that is forming inside of you,
Nothing less than wonderment,
Falling stars pouring like a silver sparkle of rain,
Wishes falling like tears on ice,
Melting the hearts, the world and the eyes,
Burning with something so magical,
Enchantment,
Something somewhere stirred it deep,
Made this world,
A world to keep,
Shout and to speak,
Hear it in the hearts,
See it on the horizon,
The night skies,
Twisting and turning these perfect lies,
Inside your mind,
Where no one can save you,
No one can be,
To share the wonderment of the world living,
And breathing and being inside,
The mind of tortures,
The heart of hope,
The smile of pretend,
There’s no end to these lies,
No end to the torture deep and deeper within your mind,
No end to the world that haunts your dreams,
Screaming at you while you sleep,
The curtains are open,
Leap up from the bed,
Hands shaking,
Heart aching,
Close the curtains in fear and in rage,
Your own body in a cage,
Self loathing and hate,
Your two best friends,
Side by side,
They laugh and they taunt,
You call out their names,
You bleed on the floor,
Begging for something to take it away,
Begging to be free from yourself some day,
Wonderment turns to panic,
Misunderstood and scared of yourself,
The world engulfs every breath you take,
Everything you do or say,
It’s always there,
Haunting and taunting and whispering your name,
A tale,
A world inside your mind,
Hitting your skull,
Flesh bleeding and still,
It won’t go away,
Fiction or real,
Insanity or dreams,
It just wont go away,
You’re stuck with the fear,
The longing to be free,
You are stuck with your world,
Your haunts and your dreams,
You are stuck with this for all eternity,

Mesmerised by the memories,
The picture in my head,
Is whispering a story of yesterday,
Yesterday when all of the dreams,
The years and the screams,
They became clear,
You became near,
And there you were,
There was I,
I heard you talk and your words were like silk,
Your smile I can only imagine is something else entirely,
Take me to another world,
Hypnotised by the presence of an angel,
I could have died,
Without my breath,
No lungs,
No head,
No heart,
Just two weeping eyes upon the vision that was you,
I dare not believe,
The opinion of me you perceive,
Could be so less than me,
Who I am,
What you and I could be,
If we could fly,
Love will always cry,
And all we’ve got to do is let it in and try,
Maybe I’m naive,
Or I’m ripe for this new season,
A chapter in a story book,
I’m no hero,
But with one look,
I know I can save this whole thing,
Your whole world comes crashing down,
A vision,
A man,
A soul and a heart,
And my eyes bearing into you,
Engulfing and falling so hard,
I hit my head on the way down,
I’m hurting but it’s all worth this,
This single moment,
This slight of kiss,
Longing and aching and breathing for you,
Now everything has led to this,
Rescue my soul from places unknown,
Rescue this heart from beating alone,
You are my redemption and salvation,
Be my liberation,
Lets fly into the sky,
The moon and the stars,
All shining for us to see,
Shining for just you and me,
For everybody,
Aligned,
A sign,
You and I,
Our hearts and minds,
Our love,
Because you are a dream,
A vision and the truth,
I will always,
And always,
An eternity of love like youth,
And so I will always love you,
