This is a poem about a melodramatic person who ends up finging what he always wanted.
Heartache and self-loathing, bottled up in the vestibule of you.
Slowly seeping out, tainting the few pearls you've uncovered,
under the overwhelming pile of empty shells.
Empty shells, mocking you,
reminding you of the coldness, and bitterness of this world.
The rotting stench of years wasted in vain.
Covered in filth and decay,
dragging on your heels to this day.
Begging for the attention they never received,
the attention they never deserved.
Raping your mind with every glance.
But, the pearls were there,
You've uncovered precious relics through life's lost paths.
So, rejoice in this, this knowledge that you have found things that most shall never find, and seen things that most shall never see.
You've found the pearls hidden within the ineffectual pile of waste.
So, shine them, and place them for the world to see.
Bask in the glow, and the glory, of a sad turbulent life,
that truly wasn't, and isn't devoid of all value.
Show the world that you are in love--
that you can be....loved.
