A poem expressing the theme of unconditional love.
flowers wild

Once taken, flower’s child,
Cut stem in shallow pool,
Breathes a love that gasps,
Compassion's broken rule.

Deeper...yet shallow still,
The garden hedged and prim;
Fragile pride is tended,
She to humor’s whim.

Forgive these tears, Oh lover’s Heart,
Expectations tend to bind.
And then to fields of flower’s Wild
To live ‘our love’, not ‘mine’.
