an overview of the cycle of life but focusing in on one sad little story.
He gave her a goodbye kiss
dried the tears he'd hoped he did not shed.
He gave a goodbye hug to his Little Miss,
and cried himself to bed.

Two years down a wonderful road
another man joined in her life.
He asked the other and was told
that he can soon make her his wife.

He gave her a goodbye kiss
at the end of walking her down the isle
He gave her a goodbye hug (the last as she was his Little Miss)
and cried to himself a little while.

twenty years later as he lay in bed
with her sitting by his side,
it took all his strength to kiss her head
so he, shortly after, died.

She gave him a goodbye kiss
and bowed her head to cry,
whispered, "I'm still your Little Miss"
and vowed to never ask God, "why?"

She gave him a goodbye kiss
and repeated it softly
repeated it over and over-
"i'm still your Little Miss"
