Looking up at something unreachable, but something so beautiful
A Bridge

Underneath, she stands
Waiting for someone to come
Shining beauty on all,
Yet giving it to none.

Hair upon her shoulders
Eyes looking above
Searching for the answers
For liberty and love

Yet her gaze tells all,
Her tone reveals her soul
Perhaps afraid of life,
And of it being dull.

Still, love is in her face
As one looks on from the ridge
With the water going by,
She stands below the bridge.
