Will you always love me?
In the morning, before I've brushed my hair,
Would you even stop to care,
Before I apply my lipstick,
Would our candle of relationship burn right through the wick?

In the evening, when my mascara has washed away,
And I look absolutely haggard from the stress of the day,
Will you still see my beauty,
How about when I'm moody?

In a few years, when youth has run thin,
And there are new kin,
Will you stand by me when things are bad,
Even though life for us is at the moment sad?

In our senior years, when I am old and sagging,
And my aching old bones cause my lagging,
When my hair is almost gone and turned the color of frost,
Will our love somehow get lost?

In your eyes, will you see me in my younger days,
Could you look beyond the flabby haze,
And could you effortlessly see,
And honestly say, from your heart, that you love me?
