Poem by Memidas
I know how it goes.
I know what the deal is.
I want more than I can afford from a life too expensive for my mental wages.
I'm drained now and all I have left are these telling pages.

So I consistently pay the tax that gets me to the next day.
Trying to find ways to maintain a brain drained from pain.
The price of the gas that fuels my inner fire is too much so I have to abstain.
Inside insane and outside tame in a life where I gain no ground.

So now I look.
For that free thing.
That desire and fire that inspires me to great deeds.
Work, school, private life, money, hardship, heartache, and stress.

Still I press on.
