I wrote this for a local teen writing contest and it tied for third place for poetry.
I am Beauty, big and strong,
I’d like to dominate your life.
With me comes greater power, wealth, and fortune.
I like to make you think
That all the joy in the world is from me.
Makeup, perfume, and powder will make you feel oh, so pretty.

Beauty can be your higher power,
Just take my hand and see,
All the wonders of the world with me.
And once you fall in my trap I leave you.
There you stand feeling oh, so ugly.
