poem, stars, diamonds, empty, dark, journey
i’m to come to you
again
on some ordinary night
to let you drop diamonds down my throat
and fill my mind with faeries
were they ever diamonds?
glass stars
reflect
just so
and that is enough

we can dance along the broken ice
remember the lies i told you
as thin as bubbles
and as flimsy as the paper moon
that lifted us
just high enough
to see the jagged rocks below
and left us clutching
for the empty air
inside each other
