too many times this has happened...
Cursed from temptation,
we are the the one-and-onely,
as we are naught but lonely...
none care to meet our eyes.

So bent upon frustration,
that we blew it all away,
to live a blissful moment,
cut short from yesterday.

There is no future left for us,
opportunity knocked our door,
but we were all to busy then
we weren't prepared before.

Too busy trying to find it,
that when it looked us in the eye,
we thought it was a stranger,
and we sent it off good-bye.

Realization shook us then,
with an overbearing blow,
but pity took our shoulder and said,
"how were you to know?"

Glaring through our teary-eyes,
we wished to start again,
stubborn to accept our faults
...too scared to search again.
