I'll miss you Mum
Mum

The things I don't say

~ I love you
~ Thank you for my dinner, it was lovely
~ You were right, I shouldn't have lied to you
~ I'm glad you're here, I couldn't have got through this day without you
~ Please stay, you're my Mum, I love having you here
~ I'm sorry
~ Thank you for being you and loving me for no apparent reason

The things I do say

~ I hate you
~ That was disgusting, I'd rather starve
~ It's none of your business where I go or who I'm with
~ Why don't you just leave me alone, I can handle it
~ Shut the door behind you as you leave
~ It's all your fault
~ Oh My God, you just don't get it do you

Why I do the things I do

~ Hormones

The things I take for granted

~ The fact that you always wait outside the door when I leave, just to check I'm safe
~ The constant cooking, cleaning and washing
~ The endless amounts of lifts here and there
~ When you Wait up until ridiculous hours in the morning to check I got back home ok
~ The fivers here and there when I'm short on the cash flow
~ The belief, the encouragement - how you always take my side
~ The birthdays, the Christmases, the little presents for no reason at all
~ Just the fact that you still love me, even though I don't deserve it
~ Just, you

I will miss you because

~ Of the little notes you leave me when I'm still asleep and you need to pop out
~ Of your funny comments and your uncontrollable laughter
~ No one else replaces the lyrics to songs quite the way you do
~ I'll need you when I have a headache and I don't want to take an asprin
~ You won't be there to say goodnight and give me a kiss

~ You're my Mum
