A poetic approach to the devastating disease
The ocean's long nails scrape at the sand,
Trapping unwilling specks in its hand.
Merciless catch of battling beach,
Attempting to stick safe from its reach.

The powerless sand, loosened yet there,
Clings to the land, is stuck to Unfair,
Knowing a large wave might show its face,
Yet one pair of feet hold it in place.

Stuck to the soles, it sighs in relief,
Swallowing fear and adamant grief.
It knows those soles will gather up more,
Of its own kind to live and explore.

Though they may travel back to the shore,
More pairs of feet will visit their door,
Hold them in place and keep them on land,
Help them resist the ocean's dark hand.
