Have You Thought About Screenwriting?

I was thinking the other day that, what with movies, TV, cable, direct to DVD, there are now crazy amounts of opportunities for writers for the screen. Have you ever tried to write a screenplay? I don't know a thing about it, but the info is out there and it might pay you to think about it. Speaking of pay, I hear it's much greater than books. *Delight* Less time waiting, too.

Format is very important, and the link below explains proper, standard format pretty clearly. You have to present your ideas and or material in the right way.

Why not give it a try? I noticed that entering contests are the way to get noticed, winning or not.

How Easy is Screenplay Writing? Short answer: much easier than writing novels!

Submitted Comment: What a great topic for the newsletter! I am an in-depth reviewer and I have been wrestling with this issue a lot. I never want to discourage a writer, but I also want them to make the best work they can. Thank you for continuing to give me confidence in honest reviews!

Just the fact that you wrestle with the issue, assures you will always be fair and helpful. You're doing an excellent job, with nothing to worry about in this area.

Submitted Comment: I agree, I agree, I agree..with everything you wrote in this newsletter. I take reviewing seriously and only do reviews for those that really want to know how to improve their work. Otherwise I'm wasting my time and theirs, time that could be put into EDITING.

Also, everytime I re-read something from a month or so ago I find a way to make it better. It never ends...rewrite, rewrite, rewrite.
Great subject!
Diane

Thank you, Diane You've got the right attitude.

Submitted Comment: Wow, Esprit, nothing like telling like it is. Of negative remarks -- although these are suggestions for changes, authors may see a temporary upside in these because the work itself benefits from the eyes of a reader. TEFF

Thanks, Teff, my friend. You're right, but why 'temporary upside'? Thanks for reading and chiming in with your thoughts, I appreciate it.

We always appreciate the feedback, thanks!
I love my job!
