The poem is a tribute to those great sons of the soil who felt the pride to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their nation during war. They fought to establish democracy. So, the poem is a very special one. There is no doubt about it.
What are their contributions? How does the whole nation remain grateful to them? These are described here briefly. Therefore, that poem gets such importance.
