It is a poem that represents the views of a real devotee. That poem tells us the absolute truth. What is that truth? In our life only trusted zenith is the Lord's love. That are forever, and others are temporary.
God's love shows us the way to eternal peace and harmony, which is the ultimate goal, but any material thing can not perform that.
So, why should we not be a devotee to enjoy those? The poet inspires USS to do so. That is the success of this poetry. I hope the poet's pen will also show us the desired ways in future forever.
