There's a hill that overlooks this town. A hill that overlooks her grief.

It is indeed a lovely poem by the poet. The hill separates the town. Similarly, the lady is also isolated through her grief. The poet describes that state brilliantly. Though the sorrow is personal, it is understandable.
The poet draws a brilliant picture of it. Another symmetry with the town is it stands still despite the negligence. The lady is enormously doing her social duties as it is, despite the sadness that she carries in her mind lonely.
It is excellent imagery. Her unhappiness of her touches our hearts. I hope you will entertain us in future randomly.
