It is truly a marvellous short story. The writer establishes how a person suffers the most if we mislead his own life. The prime character of the story is none other than Stan. When he was a teen, he was sent to prison due to some illegal activities. At a young age, he did not change his lifestyle. He became more addicted.
One day, he faced a severe car accident. He lost his right leg and got a massive amount as compensation gave him the scope to reconstruct himself again.
It is very much dramatic. It increases readability. Write on!
