Poet Tim Chiu always deals with a few burning issues of today. So, his poetry comes with different importance. That particular poetry is not an exception from this. An authoritarian dictatorship is a global problem that we often suffer but not always.
We have some duties for our society. To do it, ensure self-safety first. If you are unsafe, how can you save your family? If your family remains unsafe, how can you protect your society? It is next to impossible.
In a democracy, we have voting rights. So, apply that power wisely. Take that preference which ensures our internal peace and reality rather than a lucrative proposal.
It is a good poem that guides us to a much more secure future. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem. Write on!
