Hi, Tara!
I thought this short piece was good, and I wish more people would be do things like this! It breaks my heart to see how many people spend hundreds of dollars (or even thousands if the deceased is famous!) on flowers for a funeral. I know they mean well, but those same dollars could be spent on so many other things that could help the living!
I know that's just one option you pointed out, and I agree there needs to be more morals and common sense, as well as tolerance, but that one stanza about helping the homeless really stood out to me!
