This does sound like a Normal Rockwell painting, or like you said, maybe it’s better.
If this isn’t the perfect picture of Christmas, then I don’t know what is. It sounds like you have one marvelous and close family, and I’m really happy for you. I’d also like to say I’m a little jealous, but to be honest, I don’t think I could handle a Christmas this nice. I was born in ’65, and we might have one or two Christmases like this, but if we did, I don’t remember them. It just sounds a little too nice, but as they say, different strokes for different folks.
You did a great job with the descriptions, and the spelling and grammar was also good, but I did spot a couple of tiny niggles in an otherwise wonderful essay about one of the happiest times of the year:
‘Once we finish with stockings and, we get breakfast.’ (one too many words?)
‘Then we begin to move the mountain of goodies we have surrounded ourselves with, and begin to move them to a spot where they can be prepared to take home. (this sounds a little redundant by saying the same thing twice)
Weird side note: I was just at the store right before I read this and I had an inkling for New England Clam Chowder, but I couldn’t find any! *Shock*
