I noticed you're a WdC Angel Army Port Raid Author this month! Congratulations!
I like this! This idea of a man who has just had his whole life destroyed because his boss fired him and then sacrificing what he had left to save this young woman was a great idea, and I'm sure it's happened in real life numerous times. Jason might not have wanted it to end that way, but what more heroic way to go out than that?
And besides, at least now he won't have to go home and explain the situation of being fired to his wife! *Laugh*
OK. I know that wasn't really funny, but I had to mention it.
You did a great job telling this, and the descriptions of them sitting at the bar were well done.
Great spelling and grammar, but I did spot one tiny niggle:
'...the whiskey clouded his judgment(,) but he took some deep breaths...'
