Bon jour, Loti! I'm doing this review as you're a WdC Angel Army Port Raid Author this month! Congratulations!
Even though I don't read science fiction as much as I used to, I still thought this was good.
I realize you've put more of an emotional touch into this so far, but you've got a good beginning to a much longer piece, and it would be interesting to see where you take it. I like the premise of Theo wanting to save not just his step son who's suffered so much already with the loss of his mother, but the entire crew as well.
What does Theo have in mind? Will he be able to save the Cosmote, or will they all just die with their lifeless bodies floating around in space forever, never to be found?
Stay tuned for the next episode of...Oh, sorry. I gotta little carried away there for a moment.
Great spelling and telling, Loti, but I did spot one tiny typo:
'..struck the side of The Cosmote(,) sending the ship soaring...'
