What a wonderful piece. You've not written just an informative piece, but you've ralllied supporters for a movement because you inserted your passion into the story, from 'standing by' to inclusion in a 5000 person march. Often I wish we in America could know of the marches to freedom that are taking place in other lands; this week in America it's the dicision our Supreme Court will make regarding gay and lesbians right to marry. Every country has it's history and marches. Thank you for writing this. I have always wished I could have traveled in my lifetime, too late now, but New Zealand has always been a the top of my wish list because of what i've heard about your Maouri people. you're a good writer. this needs to be published many places. ann
