All of Reba's choices sound intriguing, but knowing there's no returning to your current self or changing after you choose a form makes it tougher. You think about how Reba said a previous empress was a fox, you figured you might as well go with something the people here were familiar with.
"I guess I'll be a red fox," you delclare to Reba.
"Are you absolutely certain?" Reba asks. "There's no going back once I'm done."
"I am certain, Reba," you affirm.
Reba nods. "Very well, then," she says as she sorts through her materials. She opens up a small burgandy pouch and pours the powdery contents of some of her vials into it, giving it a good shake once she has closed the little bag. She then takes a larger vial and pours the mixture into it, adding various multicolored liquids at different doses until it takes on a blueish hue. Finally, she adds what looks like hairs of red fur to the concoction and secures the vial's lid before rapidly shaking it with both of her webbed hands.You watch the solution within change colors from blue to yellow and bubble as she stops and sets the jar upon a nearby table.
From behind her back, Reba pulls out a colorful staff decorated with feathers. She twists the head of the staff to remove it, revealing it to be hollow within. She opens the jar and pours the mixture she just created into the staff. You swear you can hear it sizzle as it hits the confines of the staff. She screws the staff's head back on, taps it on the ground a couple of times, and turns to walk back over to you.
"I advise you to lie on the ground," Reba says. "These changes may be overwhelming. I'd hate to see our new Empress injure herself before she's even coronatied."
You gulp and comply with Reba's warning, facing upward as Reba and the two guards stand over you.
"Captain Maxine, Ravanna," Reba addressees the two guardswomen, "please be prepared to secure our soon-to-be-Empress if he starts to shake violently."
"Aye, Madame Reba," Captain Maxine answers as she and Ravanna walk over to your sides.
"Now, then," Reba says. "I believe we're ready to begin."
Reba begins to chant and shake her staff, which causes it to begin exhuding a yellow mist. You can smell a pungent aroma in the air as Reba dances toward you, moving in rhythm until she stands over your prone form on the floor. As she continues chanting, she twirls her staff and eventually points the head of it at you. You're now being bathed in the yellow mist, which is starting to make you feel nauseous.
As the smell overtakes you, you start to feel warm, almost feverish, and every muscle in your body starts to tense. You start to feel your bones stretching and reshaping, and your flesh doing the same as it tries to keep up. The process is painful and you begin to scream and thrash about. You feel your arms being grabbed, which you assume is Captain Maxine and Ravanna grabbing them to hold you down. As you feel your teeth begin to become more pronounced and a tail begin to emerge from above your behind, the intensity of the transformation becomes too much for you to bear and you pass out.

You start to come to and feel a weight on your chest, and a warm layer of fur all over your body. You slowly open your eyes and see that standing over you are Reba, Captain Maxine and Ravanna, who is rubbing her arm. They were looking at you expectingly.
