My dad is going to be alright. I actually got a call from him this afternoon, that he was released from the hospital! His operation wound got infected (I'm not sure if i mentioned that before) so they had to open that up again, and it's still open, but since my dad is working on the ICU himself, they figured he could take good care of it, and see when it's going better or getting worse, so they let him go anyway.
He is going to be on medication for the rest of his life, and since it's a chronic disease this won't be the end of it. He'll probably be in and out of the hospital for a lot more times to come.
There's a good chance that in a few years they'll have to take parts of his intestines out, but we'll just have to wait and see how it all goes.
There's a good chance my sister and i will also be getting it, so I might have to start watching what I eat..
