Welcome, Hermit Crayons! I hope you can settle in and have a lot of fun here. We keep the place buzzing with activities of all kinds, from contests to long term writing projects to chatty forums and even an instant message system. Check out the Community Newsfeed to see what everyone is doing, and be sure to "fan" people you want to follow by clicking on the black heart by their handle until it turns orange.

It would be a great starting point for you to post an item in your port. Then you can also choose an image for your profile pictures - there's actually room for four of them, one on each tab of your port.
