I've lately been playing around with an AI image generator, and Will's was one of the images I've been playing with. I went into it with the goal of getting rid of Will's hat, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. [EDIT: See post above for a successful AI generation of Will without the hat.] After playing around a lot, the best I was able to do was create a "hat-less" version of Will that I think is a good representation of what he would look like in about two years time (college sophomore, approximately) after he has "cleaned himself up." I think it does a good job of establishing what has been remarked above, that there's nothing much wrong with his features if he just did some very basic grooming and tried to hold himself with a little more self-confidence:



I also pushed things a little further, to see what a more "bohemian" look would be like -- if he didn't just turn back to scuzz, that is. The result is, I think, a plausible look for him in The Wandering Stars after he's been at it for a few years--and presuming he's not a shapeshifter but has a permanent face:
