Re: Hidden Potential

I was hoping at some point in the Will and Sydney story arc Sydney would impersonate Will's mom. The way I pictured it, while investigating the book they screw up and golemize a member of Will's family (similar to what happened to his dad in another storyline). After that, they decide to create their brotherhood using Will's family and close friends. Ultimately, instead of corrupting another family, Sydney corrupts Will into betraying the people closest to him.

The character I always vote for, who never gets a story arc of her own is Anita Nuevo. In all the chapters she's been in, she's always a one dimensional, bland character. I'd love to see her given a run at some point, preferably as a partner to Will who's disguised as another member of the soccer team. I feel like Anita could be a too-righteous-for-her-own-good Chelsea. Where Chelsea wants to disguise herself as other members of her team to sow seeds of distrust so she can retain power; I see Anita using it to try and iron out differences. But I also see Anita making things worse, perhaps by giving into temptation and letting her hair down (and most likely spreading her legs) while under someone else's face.

Finally, one idea I've kicked around quite a bit is a BoM prequel. And in the prequel, I always envision Lisa as the main character. In my head, Lisa isn't a good person. Not necessarily bad (she's no Abbi Steiner) but not necessarily good either. What if the Lisa who "dated" Will the summer before senior year wasn't Lisa? What if it was a golem while Lisa was trying to improve her status within the school social circles? What if Lucy Vrendenburg was really Lisa? Using Lucy to influence Cindy and some of the other girls at Westside, she elevates herself high enough to snag a guy like Geoff Mansfield. Once she accomplishes her goal, she puts the Lucy mask back on the real Lucy and tells her to get rid of the book. Lucy gets rid of it by giving it to her fat professor at Keyserling in hopes that she won't have to flirt with him, or worse, to bring her grade up. From there the book somehow winds up at Arnholms bookstore and into the possession of Will Prescott.
