I get that. I'm eating burnt risotto for dinner because I can't cook. In an effort to make it less obviously burned, I added raisins, cashews, honey, and maple syrup. It made it edible, but definitely not good. I've eaten on it twice already, trying to fill up, but I can only take so much before I put it back again. lol Anyway, main point, I'm a terrible cook as well.
However, you don't have to cook it for them. And likely no one else will cook it either. lol Just write the poem. You can even put a disclaimer at the top.
