Fantasy and SciFi from Colorado
by Mage
Hello all! I actually joined the site a few years ago and promptly forgot about it... SORRY! I think I suffered from information overload because there is so much available here.
Well, my life has finally calmed down a bit since I no longer work 12+ hours a day to pay the bills. I am looking forward to diving into the community and continue learning the craft.
I've been writing off and on for decades but have gotten serious about it only recently. I did self-publish one of my works only to pull it after selling about 3,000 copies. It was a good, compelling story but my writing style was horrible! I read it now and think, I really had no idea what I was doing. I pulled it after some good advice I received from some established authors.
I have learned that the ability to write and being skilled at writing are two very different things and that both take time and effort to perfect.
That's why I'm here. I look forward to learning more!
