*Dollar* 100 GPs were sent to Arakun the Twisted Raccoon with this post.
Jennifer crouched down to slide the palm of her hand across the blades of grass. The lawn was as rich and thick as a carpet, green like the green of emeralds. As soft as a bed, the ground seduced her into lying down. She placed her hands behind her head and stared at the sky.

The voice in the back of her mind spoke to her.

“Whisper to the clouds.”

She responded aloud, “No. I don’t want to.”

“Whisper, Jennifer, whisper and watch.”

She succumbed to the voice’s wishes and whispered. The clouds were just clouds at first, white cottony pillows drifting on an azure ocean. The faint silhouette of the crescent moon faded in and out, playing hide and seek with the wispy travelers.

She lay there mesmerized, transfixed by time’s ethereal nature. She forgot all that was or ever had been.

A single cloud stopped its journey. Jennifer hoped the wind had paused, but then the familiar voice spoke to her, “Tell me your wish.”

A memory interrupted her resolve and she wished to see the face again. The cloud became the face of her love and she felt joy, just for a moment, until she awoke to the sound of crickets.
