October Novel Prep Challenge

I'd be afraid to try it because handwriting for any length of time just gives me tons of pain. But that's interesting that it gives you different ideas. When I was in high school, I wrote a novel out long-hand in a notebook, and that was an interesting adventure because of the whole "can't write as fast as the ideas in my head are going."

I do have a lot of my character notes on index cards this year, though, and that's been very helpful.
