Yeah, like Crys said, watching your parents die would be pretty traumatic, and that could definitely lead to a lot of effects on her as a person. Especially when she saw both the traumatic event and witnessing nobody help because of who they were, that's bound to create some things going on in her head, and give you a lot to work with.
