Steampunk is a versatile genre, my friend. All sorts of tales are told within its boundaries. There's a widening array of novels available that both enhance and stretch SF: detective stories, westerns, paranormal stuff, fantasy, horror, pretty much anything you can imagine happening by gaslight is fair game.
I encourage you to get involved in our contests, once they're up and running again. They're wonderful vehicles for fertilizing the imagination!
