Re: Re: Re: Unsympathetic & Despicable
But isn't there's a difference between imperfect and unsympathetic or despicable? I've recently started reading Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire. The vampire Louise is imperfect. He's given to angst, too much introspection, and by his own admission and by demonstration he's a bit egotistical, but, so far, I still like him. I still find him a sympathetic character. Despite the fact that he's a vampire and engaged in cold-blooded murder to become one by his own choice and actions, I still feel something other than disgust and loathing for him.
