Nah. You didn't mess it up.

1) You can always revise your stories.
2) These aren't your only ideas. You have others.
3) You are learning. You will learn from the comments you received on your current postings and from your experiences here.

Writing is one of those professions that require on-the-job training. There's no way around it. You learn from the people who have been there/done that. If you stay with it, you will never quit learning.
