Writers help books?
by Majik
Question? I read once that a well know author came to speak at a conference. He approached the podium and asked, “Who here wants to be a writer?” He waited for their response, which everyone in the audience raised their hands. He then said “ Then why are you hear and not somewhere writing.” And then left the podium.
So, My question is, do any of you read the “How to be a writer books.” And if so, do they help? Which ones would you recommend? And if not, do you believe in “Just get to it.” approach? And is this site really useful? Or do you feel we should be writing and not chit chatting about it?

Just curious

What’s in my mind is so much more exciting than what’s going on in the world.
From the movie: The Libertine.
