I think the bottom line was, I didn't want this shit hanging over my head, marring the clean slate that a New Year ought to be, y'know? It's a bitch, but I'm doing it.

Jessie kicks the jolly fat Santa on the lawn, only to discover it's one of those pop-back punching bags. "Oh, goody!!" She claps her hands with glee and starts beating the tar out of Santa. The neighbors look at her oddly. "Hey, it's just--um--he's fine!" She puts an arm around the inflatable Santa with his sycophantic smile and alcoholic, cherry-red nose, and hugs him. Something pops... "Oh, damn. I gotta get me a new Santa..."
