Just one hack's interpretation (mine) of the distinction between the two:

Truth- (actual) "Every action carries a consequence.

Higher Truth- (subjective) NIETZSCHE: Nietzsche's rejection of Christian and Jewish morality because they were both built on the foundations of 'slave morality', or Anselm's Ontological Argument, which was based on the argument that it would be contradictory to God's nature for him not to exist.
