Writer's Fallout Shelter

After a harsh week of both positive and negative criticism from two different critique groups who think my writing may be just a tad violent for the nation's poor delicate teenagers and having to defend my position that my writing will not turn them into blood thirsty zombies - I have been talking to the teens themselves to find out their position on literary and media violence. I have been assured that they are not going to go on a rampage based on something they have seen or read unless they were of this mind BEFORE they experienced any violent things. And basically any kid who reads can't be that bad in my books.

I hit the wall around page 89, two weeks ago. Three chapters were stalling out on me. I hit them from every angle I could think of. I did character sketches of anybody and everybody in the scene. I thought and read and ... NOTHING!!! Finally I eliminated one of my POV's and bingo all was well in my world. So I've been going through and changing things as needed. I also got a great idea for changing my first chapter that should streamline the novel. It makes me kind of sad though as my original first chapter is awesome - but still, sometimes we have to kill our babies to make things better.

Monday brings me to Chapter twenty six of February - The art of the hunt. A young adult, sci-fi, action adventure. I can't wait!
