Writer's Fallout Shelter

My characters are already on a trip. The question is where they're going and why. I've sent them to Escuria, one of my magical lands, for heaven knows why and I need to find an excuse. Originally it was that Brethil, my main character, was going to teach a little girl magic there, but then somehow it evolved that the two countries (Brethil is from Nethia, just across the Aear channel from Escuria. This is the point where I need the map...) were at war with each other, so that wouldn't exactly work out. So now Brethil is stuck in Escuria and I'm starting to think about making it a fantasy/spy book. *pants furiously* Ok?
