At home in Thailand we do something similar. At home, we make rice and top it with whatever we didn't finish from the last meal.
I finally decided to use June 2022's entries for my responses to other bloggers' entries. I tend to do this daily anyways and post in my weekly 'catch-all' blog (added to every day} "Porthole" .
At times I do rant in my blog. Not every entry mind you. That would be boring... and I'm not depressed every moment even when I'm depressed in general.
I'm not a fun person. I don't seek out the party. It's usually enough to be in a safe place surrounded by lessons I need to learn. In Udon Thani, isolation was the problem.
Traveling can be educational. It isn't the same as living in a place. I felt like I was living in Thailand. I wasn't having fun.
I originally planned to return in July. Now I don't know. It'll be great to revisit though.
Don't be quiet about depression. Shout it out. Rant in your blog. Don't keep it to yourself. That is what I always do in my ranty blog anyway.
And yeah, btw, I'm so glad you did blog about this. I want to tell you that you are heard. We hear you. You are not invisible if you show us who you are. I've always thought that you are having fun in Thailand and I was so happy for you. Didn't you meet Sum1 Is Home! there? If you need a listening ear, I'm here. I'm younger, not very smart, and probably don't have that much of a life experience, but I'm a good listener.
Also, honestly, I always tell people that I'm not good with poetry and I'm still learning about it, but recently, you won a poetry competition and I read your poem for the first time. That's soooo beautifully written. Yeah, I'm talking about Ricefield. I'm slow, but I'm just starting to notice your awesome poetry-writing talent.
You are worth more than you think. No, not because of your talent in poetry-writing. Because of who you are. You know what I'm saying.
Kåre Enga in MontanaI agree! Great entries all around. It will be tough judging for sure. I did have fun reading them and I like how we organized so we were tagged - it made for us to respond in a more timely manner which I enjoyed.
StephBee There were some excellent blog entries this round by other 'contestants'. Hope you had fun reading them. I didn't want to do what I did last year. This format kinda worked for me this round as I cope with giving up on some of my dreams. Next year, I'll do something different.
Kåre Enga in Montana Thanks for blogging in the Bard's hall Contest this year! Heartfelt personal reflection and very engaging posts. Life and learning go hand in hand.
