The story of two men and their struggles against the power of conscience.
The story was written in early 2008 and tells the story of two men, struggling with their  conscience over the uncertain events of a night many years before that ended with the murders of an affluent couple in their bay side home. One believes that the actions of the other as well as his own inaction were the final straw that turned a bullied classmate into a vicious killer. The other, a hometown hero bearing the scars of honor has his own dark secret, a cross that he is ultimately unable to bear.
But things are never what they seem to be. Never are things as they seem...
