The first of year's revision time,
Bring NaNoWriMo to its prime.
We need be ruthless to a fault,
The polish process seems assault in uphill climb.

Dear Quest, be warned eraser's near
to take some scenes you thought were clear,
But when the gap in landscape's done,
result will be more lasting fun with Father dear!

Exciting time this Give & Take!
Endeavor to a novel make!
The weary mind may slog through mud,
while chewing writer's form of cud, not Shake & Bake.

The hopeful thought, when last I'm through
is that one reader will be you,
But first the writer must full read
and change his words through marking deed to make it new.
