Caregiving
So I go to see someone. I am anxious about what may or may not happen. I enter and am greeted by Chuck who knows all about because of a person I work with in another place in town. I have no idea what means and am defensive from the start. I am immediately struck by an earthy style of talking and support of a lesbian woman who took care until his mom blew the whistle. That whole night I did little but watch TV and watch people walk in and out. The clear message was I had nothing to say or do that he did not already know. So I left wondering what I was doing there. As he himself indicated: "companionship"
