When you were 20, you wore what? When you were 30 you wore what? 40? 50? 60? 70?
Was it because it was popular or comfortable? What about right now, what are you wearing while writing today?

Fashion Statement

At 70 years young,
my fashion statement is comfort:
Clothes that look good
and feel good on me.

I've never been a clotheshorse
or a fashionista,
I've always worn what I liked,
and when I was younger
it was what was in fashion.

When I was in high school,
or was it junior high,
I wore a puddle skirt
with two hooped petticoats.

I've never worn a bikini,
or a two piece bathing suit,
it was always a one piece,
with a thin cover-up;
nothing overly sexy
or revealing.
