I had the opportunity to see a lot of stars perform when I worked for a star as both a stagehand ans security officer. One star I was too young to meet however was the king, Elvis Presley. We were simply too poor to see him in concert on my parent's income. I did have the opportunity to work for a star for a few years and that was fun. I met many other singers with whom he was friends or with whom his duet partner was friends, including several movie stars. I found John Wayne personable but most movie stars were snobs. I guess making 14 million dollars a year would do that to some.

Elvis is a singer I would have loved to have seen in concert . He died four years before I graduated high school.
