Looking for the Light

To this dark place I've come, and come again.
Looking for the light I know hides within.
I've wandered through these corridors alone
Listening to my spirit's mournful groan.

Beyond these dusty hallways love resides,
Behind one of these locked doors its light hides.
Waiting for me to find the silver key,
That will open the door and set me free.

How will you spend Halloween weekend and Halloween? Any special plans?

Halloween Plans

Happiness is staying home for Halloween with a large bowl of candy and an open door. Halloween is for children or families rather then single people. I will stay home with an open front door and give wrapped candy to the neighborhood children. While I'm passing out candy I will remember the Halloweens of my childhood. I will remember Halloweens with my mother and our springer spaniel. Mom and the dog enjoyed giving out candy to the children that came to the house. I know some dogs don't like children in mask and costumes, but Specks loved to sit in the entrance hall and watch Mom or me give out candy. I'm staying home this year and passing out candy while I remember Halloweens past.
