Mistake?
Prompt: Motivational Monday ! Actress Joan Collins, born on this day in 1933, once said, " Show me a person who has never made a mistake and I'll show you somebody who has never achieved much." Do you think this is true? What's your greatest mistake?
Well, I think it's impossible to live life mistake - free .Some of our best, most impressive errors teach us enduring lessons. People tend to learn skills by trial and error, cause and effect. We learn about consequences.
Some of the items we use in everyday life were once considered mistakes or failed experiments . Who doesn't use Corningware ? This cookware was once the product of failed attempts in a lab. Luckily, someone realized it's potential. Some adhesives originated from plans to mix chemicals for other applications.
Do I have a great mistake, one I'd admit? I have a regret. I never finished/earned my university degree. I chose to marry young and start my family shortly thereafter . While my offspring were growing, I kept busy with them. I do not regret or resent them; they've enriched my life in so many ways. Looking back, I probably could have delayed motherhood. This is now a 'what if'.
